Dr. Peter Gulick received his B.S. degree from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio and his D.O. degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received training in two specialties: Infectious Disease at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Medical Oncology at Roswell Park Memorial Institute. The American Board of Internal Medicine dually certifies him in Medical Oncology and Infectious Disease. Dr. Gulick is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and serves as adjunct faculty in the College of Human Medicine and the College of Nursing. He is also Director of the MSU HIV/Hepatitis Clinic. His area of interest is HIV therapy as well as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and co-infection therapy. In addition to teaching, Dr. Gulick provides patient care in his Oncology Clinic at the Great Lakes Cancer Institute/MSU Breslin Center and in his Infectious Disease Clinic in Lansing, Michigan. He has taken care of HIV patients for 20 years and hepatitis C patients for 10 years. Dr. Gulick is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association, American Microbiology Society, Infectious Disease Society of America, the Michigan Chapter of the American Liver Foundation, the Inter-American Society of Chemotherapy, and the American Federation of Clinical Research. He is appointed by the State of Michigan, Department of Community Health to the Lung Cancer Advisory Committee, the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Intervention Section, the Michigan Cancer Consortium, and the Region 1 Smallpox Planning Team. On the local level, he serves on the Infection Control Committees in the hospitals and on the advisory boards for the school system. He is an educational advisor to a number of pharmaceutical companies as well as a medical advisor in the legal system.
